FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Petro Tyschtschenko Cancels His Saku 99 Visit AmigaOS 3.5 and Jens Schoenfeld of Individual Computers Are Coming ESPOO, FINLAND - September 2, 1999 - Amiga's Petro Tyschtschenko cancelled today his planned attendance at Saku 99 this Saturday, the biggest Amiga event in Finland. The resignation of Amiga president Jim Collas forces Mr. Tyschtschenko to attend important meetings in the U.S. this weekend. Amiga assured that this is not to be taken as a sign of them closing down. Finnish Amiga Users Group is naturally disappointed of Mr. Tyschtschenko's cancellation, but is still committed and confident that Saku 99 will turn out to be the best Amiga event Finland has seen in ages. First of all, it was confirmed today that AmigaOS 3.5 pre-release will be running at Saku 99 for everyone to see and try out. It was also confirmed today, that Jens Schoenfeld of Individual Computers is flying from Germany to demonstrate his latest Amiga hardware products. Mr. Schoenfeld is known of various high quality peripherals, such as the Catweasel, and will be showing his latest creations at Saku 99. Also, the Finnish hardware manufacturer Petsoff LP will demonstrate their brand new Delfina Plus soundcard at Saku 99, and hope to sell a few as well. Although Amiga can't attend, they are supporting Saku 99 very generously. The latest Amiga promotional items will be available as give-aways and prizes, with a few surprises as well. Of course, Amiga retailers, various demonstrations, table for selling used items, the new Saku CD-ROM, video film, webcam and IRC connection will be there as well.
